Eucalyptus
Australian Aborigines used eucalyptus against infections and fever. In general, eucalyptus was considered a valuable antipyretic.
Jules Verne pointed out that the mere presence of eucalyptus in an area was enough to neutralize malaria. In Spain the plant was also used against tuberculosis.
Large quantities of essential oil are produced in China, France, Italy, Spain, Ireland, Philippines, India, etc. In Greece, it is observed in tree stands in various parts of the southern country, without being a systematic cultivation for its essential oil.
